1. They taught me to knit, talked with me, visited me at home, told me their life stories. 2. They didn't rush to finish what they were doing, and made me feel like I was important. 3. They just basically took care of me and made me feel almost like at home. Also, they took care of me when my parents couldn't be there. 4. Told me funny stories and jokes. 5. Let me sleep in the morning! 6. They would heat up my quesadillas. They let me listen to music too loud. 7. When I had my stem cell harvest, they brought in all sorts of goodies to keep me occupied during the 3 day, 4 hour at a time sessions. 8. Decorate the room, push my wheelchair. 9. Provided extra refreshments, foods. 10. They listened to me. |
